Core Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Customs, International Trade, Logistics, or related field—or an equivalent combination of applicable education and relevant work experience
- Proven experience, ideally 3 or more years, in regulatory trade compliance, U.S. import/export operations, and customs brokerage
- Proven track record of achieving refunds through documented trade compliance tools
- Prior experience organising and analysing product and customer sales data through an ERP system
- Demonstrated knowledge of export control and international trade concepts
- Demonstrated ability to identify and describe parts, machines, and components in detail to completely and accurately support classification determinations in accordance with applicable regulations
- Strong knowledge of export administration, customs valuation, product classifications, country-of-origin requirements, and tariff codes
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate to external partners and all levels of an organization
- Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including advanced knowledge of Excel
- Previous work experience with the IFS ERP system and associated MRP data
- Working knowledge of Lean techniques and tools
- Prior work experience in a life sciences/biotech organization
- Broader supply chain knowledge and warehouse experience
- Professional certification in customs compliance or trade regulations, including Licensed Customs Broker (LCB), Certified Export Specialist (CES), Certified Customs Specialist (CCS)
- Engineering or other technical degree
- Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as customs brokerage systems and trade compliance software
