Buyer III

Core Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain Management, or Business
• 5+ years of Purchasing, Supply Chain and Demand planning experience
• High level of proficiency in SAP Desired (or similar ERP)
• Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP including data elements to drive MRP. Excellent computer skills with an emphasis in Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Experience working with advanced manufacturing techniques: KANBAN, pull systems, VMI, LEAN.  Not required but highly desirable.
• Knowledge and experience with quality tools such as Lean Six Sigma, Yellow Belt or Higher, FAI, FMEA, DFM. Not required but highly desirable
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills
• Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Independent, results-driven, analytical, proactive skills
• Ability to develop and execute creative and innovative solutions
• Maintain supplier capacity modeling for supply chain capabilities for short (0 – 3 months), mid (3 – 18 months) and long-term (5-year plan) horizons; Understand demand inputs and position supply to support unconstrained growth in both the short-term and long-term horizons
• Work well with both internal and external teams
• Customer-centric and service-oriented
• Self-starter in a fast-paced, constantly evolving team environment
• Excellent oral & written communication skills
